Sharing Your Data

How do I see which apps have access to my health information?

In MyChart, go to the Linked Apps and Devices activity to see the apps that can access your health information. This page shows each app's name, what information it can access, and when its access expires. You can also manage apps for your linked organizations in MyChart Central if your organization supports this feature.

The Who's Accessed My Record? page in MyChart shows a history of each app's access. You can see the name of each app, the date and time of access, and the type of information accessed.

To see access history:

  1. Go to Document Center.
  2. Select Who's Accessed My Record?
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Third-Party Apps.

If you shared your information with an app using MyChart Central, access records appear at each organization from which you shared your health information.

How do I know which apps have access to my family member’s health information?

If you have proxy access, you can view that family member's Linked Apps and Devices activity to see which apps have access to their information. You can also check the Who's Accessed My Record? activity for their account to see a history of app access.

To see access history:

  1. Log in to MyChart.
  2. Switch to your family member's view by selecting them from the list in the top right corner of MyChart.
  3. In the MyChart menu, select Linked Apps and Devices or Who's Accessed My Record?
  4. To remove an app's access, select Stop sharing.

What should I do if I do not recognize an app that has access to my health information?

  1. Go to the Linked Apps and Devices activity in MyChart and revoke the app's access immediately.
  2. Contact your healthcare organization's help desk to report the issue so they can secure your MyChart account.
  3. Review the Who's Accessed My Record? page to see what information the app might have accessed.

What do I need to know about security and sharing my health information?

What happens if I deny or revoke access to an app?

If you deny access, an app can't receive your information. If you revoke access, it stops receiving new information.
