Sharing Your Data

What happens if I deny or revoke access to an app?

If you deny access, the app cannot see any of your health information. If you change your mind, you can go back to the app later and give it access again. Denying access does not affect your MyChart account or your care.

If you revoke access, the app stops receiving new information from your health record. However, the app might still have information it already received. To request deletion of that information, contact the app directly. The app’s information practices might be available on the review page you saw when you first authorized the app.

How do I revoke an app's access to my health information?

To revoke access:

  1. Go to the Linked Apps and Devices activity in MyChart or MyChart Central.
  2. Find the app you want to remove and select Stop sharing.

After access has been revoked, the app can no longer receive new information from your health record.
