Sharing Your Data

How do I give an app access to my health information or my family member’s health information?

To authorize an app:

  1. Start the sharing process. This might happen from inside the app, or from your organization’s MyChart.
  2. When prompted, log in to your MyChart account. You can use your Epic ID if your organization participates in MyChart Central. Your MyChart password is never shared with the app.
  3. If you have access to another person's account, such as a child, select whose information to share.
  4. Review how the app uses the information.
  5. Choose which types of information to share and how long the app has access.
  6. Confirm you want to share the information.
